Let me start this out by stating clearly that BRIG'S family is a BYU family. His parents and most of his siblings all went there, and they've all grown up loving BYU. I have to admit, the first time I ever walked into their house I was a little bit disheartened to see a giant Cougars flag hanging in the mud room. I thought to myself, "What does this mean?!?! I guess I can't like this guy after all!" ;) Since then I've come to have a fondness for BYU football (ONLY football). And before I get cyber-stoned by all my friends and family who are reading this, just know that there is no way in heck you could get me to cheer for BYU over my beloved Aggies! I know, its blasphemy to even CONSIDER cheering for BYU, but I know you love me enough to deal with it :) Brigs parents have had season tickets off and on throughout the years, and they were nice enough to let us use them a few times. This year we got to go to the Washington game and had a fun time! It was Becki's birthday, so it was especially great for BYU to get the W. Too bad that's only one of two this season ;)

Had to throw in a picture of this guy. He is awesome! He comes alone to every game with these ear-muff/plug things and brings college football magazines and some other light reading material. The book he had this time was something about culture and politics in Asia. Love him :)
To end this, I of course have to give a shout out to my Aggie's for delivering a butt-whooping. Granted, BYU is not up to par this year due to an idiot of a coach (that's what I'm blaming it on), but the Aggie's have come a LONG way, and hopefully this is the beginning of a new and grand era! Yay for college football!
Hey remember how excited I was to be able to actually SEE you? And we were going to meet up at this game? Oh yeah...YOU DITCHED ME! ;) If you look waaaay across the stadium, then look waaay up at the top, you'll see Bryant and I slumped down in our chairs, pouting because BYU was beating Washington. But I am VERY happy to hear that your allegiance is still with our beloved Aggies! You make me so proud :)

ReplyDeleteYou were wrong.
Jeff
I can deal with it Tara. I actually come from a BYU family. Did you know???:) Several have converted to the Aggie ways though so no worries! I love that you told us about the cute little man with the ear muff things. He must be a hard core cougar fan (or should I say mountain kittens)! Haha. I love catching up on your blog. Looks like you are doing great!:)
ReplyDeleteHaha, well thanks alexis, you are too kind (for once... haha jk jk). and Jeff, well it's a good thing I never liked you either! And Camille, thanks for stopping by! Glad to know i'm not the only one who is a near lone aggie in a cougar family :) we should start a support group or something, haha!
ReplyDeleteI had to click on the comments just to see what insults you were having to endure. :) It takes a lot of courage to come out of the Aggie closet and admit that BYU isn't all bad. You are awesome!
