I don't have any pictures to post of day 6. You are probably relieved ;) It was a crazy day! We started our morning by getting our campsite all packed up and driving back to Germany from Switzerland. It was pretty sad to leave! We had a fun time in the car though, and ever since then, I can't get the line, "Oh yeah!" from Despicable Me out of my head! Brig is starting to get pretty annoyed with me ;)
It was really fun to be able to talk with Candice and Tyler too without so much going on. When they moved away to South Korea I was a 14 or 15 (can't quite remember), so I was pretty different back then! Candice stayed with us in between South Korea and Germany, but I was still pretty young. Anyway, it was really fun to be able to spend so much time with them and to have them all to ourselves :) I love them and my niece and nephews so much, and miss them a ton.
When we arrived back at the house in Germany, we had to get right to work! We showered, packed, ate some dinner, and then we were off again! This time, just Brig and I were headed out on our own little adventure. Tyler was awesome enough ONCE AGAIN to drive us to the airport where we were flying out to Venice, Italy!
The airport we flew out of is just for this tiny little European airline called Ryanair. It was pretty cool because it was the first time I had ever had to go out onto the actual tarmac and climb the stairs to board the plane. Maybe I'm a big dork, but I thought it was so cool! I am so mad at myself for not taking a picture. We didn't fly out until 9:30pm-ish and I was so tired by this point, I just felt too lazy to struggle with our bags to find the camera. We sat in the very back of the plane and the whole ride was pretty much an advertisement. I guess that's why the tickets are so cheap! The flight was short and we were super excited when we landed! Venice was kind of my pick, and Brig was kind enough to allow it, even though it's not particularly his thing.
We arrived in Venice around 11:00pm-ish, where we then had to figure out how to actually get to where we were going! It was kind of hard to figure out, but we eventually just got on a bus and hoped that we were going to the right place! When we got there, we had to take a water bus to where our Bed and Breakfast was. Bad news is, we couldn't figure out what we were doing again, and missed the bus. Yikes! So we sat and waited for about an hour for another one to come, and we were on our way. Venice at night is so beautiful. I was such a happy girl! When we arrived at our stop, we had a really easy time finding our B&B even though it was kind of down a dark, narrow alley, and were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was!
At that point it was about 1:30am and we pretty much plopped our stuff on the floor and got right into bed! It was an exhausting day, but for me was such a fun and memorable part of our trip.
