It seems like every summer I say to myself, "Next summer cannot POSSIBLY be THIS busy." And as every summer comes and goes, I find out that boy was I ever wrong!
I love summer. I love everything about it. The sun, the heat, the watermelon and hamburgers, the holidays and vacations and corn on the cob. I love having to do yard work and opening my windows at night, anniversaries, and the long summer evenings. I love trips to the pool, boating, and BBQs with friends. I love the smells, my birthday, fresh raspberries, soccer tournaments, and the absolutely perfect Logan weather.
But my favorite thing about summer has to be the time that we get to spend with family. Between holidays, girls trips, family reunions and biggest loser challenges we've been able to spend a lot of time with our families this summer and although it has been incredibly busy, and my house has turned into one huge, neglected disaster, I have loved every single minute! I know that one day we wont be able to be here for everything, so I'm going to live it up while I can. We have had one CRAZY summer once again, and it's not over yet!
I've really been in a blogging mood lately, but there is just no time. This weekend has been devoted solely to getting my house under control (taking breaks here and there to catch up on the Olympics of course!). I feel like we are "those neighbors" who don't take care of their yard. I didn't plant flowers this year. I really wanted to. But in the grand scheme of things, that's not what really matters anyway. My new life's motto is, "you can only do what you can do." We all do the best we can.
Anyway, I'm not sure what the post was really supposed to be about. Just the ramblings of a happily exhausted 24 year old I guess :)

Can't wait to share the rest of our summer with you!
