Crane Family Reunion! (and a few others)

In June (you know, 2 months ago) all of Brig's family got to come to Logan for the annual Crane Family Reunion!!! And by Crane family reunion, I mean Brigs immediate family, not an extended family reunion like you would think ;) Nevertheless, that's what it's called, and as much of a hard time I give them for calling it that, I still love them all the same, haha.
Since there are like 80 pictures as usual, I'll try and be brief. The first day was a Monday, and the family went up the canyon for some hanging out, getting dirty, and four-wheeling. I had to work that day, so I wasn't able to make it, hence no pictures. The second day they all went out to the Jensen Historical Farm and toured around, rode horses, and had a fun tea party that the kids LOVED! I also missed that day. The rest of the days I have pictures for, but they're not in order. So here goes!

Day Whatever: The Cruise In
I haven't been to the cruise in for so long! It was really fun to see all the fun cars, and mostly to see how excited all the kids got! Brig and a family member (can't remember who) took the truck down early and parked it on the road so that the kids would all have a good vantage point... It was a good time!

Afterward, we got in the truck and dragged main, cat calling to all the white trash on the side of the road... Just kidding.

It was very noisy!!!

A few of the kids

While we were there, we ran into one of Brig's good friends Riley and his cute wife (Christina) and kids! It was really fun to see them, especially since they've just recently moved away from Logan.

We also ran into some of my family there!

Day Whatever 2: Fireworks!

Wouldn't be 4th of July season without 500 evenings dedicated to fireworks!

Here I am looking rather plump. Awesome.

Here is my little pyro husband. Like most boys.

Enjoying the fireworks. As you can imagine, the boys were having a really hard time staying at a safe distance. Those silly boys!

Day 2nd, 3rd or 4th of July:
Fireworks at the stadium!

This is my cute, cute husband who I am so proud of! This is him when they called all past and present members of the military to stand. He's usually one to stay FAR away from any sort of attention, and I was very proud to be sitting next to him when he stood up! And of course, I am always so proud and grateful for his sacrifice and dedication to the freedom of our country.

This boy is a crack up! Must have something to do with his parents ;)

We also got to go over and say hi to my family again! Haha:

This is Dustin and Kade. Heather got to go to see Carrie Underwood at Stadium of fire, so these boys just flew solo for the weekend.

Cute, cute, cute.

Dad and Grandpa

Grandma and Mom

This picture is actually on our way to the fireworks. Some of the fam watched it from outside the stadium, and some of us went inside. But we all rode over there together in the back of the truck, in classic small town style! :) P.S. He is so cute with his nieces and nephews, and they all LOVE him!

Day one of the first days: Playing games!

Here is everyone playing fruit basket. There were some laughs, some tears, and lots of pushing and shoving! Just kidding, the Cranes are all much too sweet for that! I sat on the sidelines because of my damaged toe, so I got a good view of all the hilarious action!

Jon snuck in and stole this chair from Becki at the last minute! That's one brave son-in-law!

Day who really knows at this point, it was 2 months ago!: Hiking to the smiley face.

These 3 brave souls decided to take the dogs and trek up the mountain behind the house up to the giant smiley face! It was long, and hot, and snoop barely made it, but they had a great time! They boys loved every minute of it, and Brig loves spending time in the outdoors with them!

Snoops big mouth

Exhausted.

I did put a picture of the actual smiley face in here, but its gone, and it's far too late to try and do it again!

Day 3 (I know this one!): Boating at Hyrum Dam!
I was really lucky, because I actually got to go to this event!!! The day mostly consisted of driving kids around on the tube, but it was really fun to see how excited they were and as always, I just love being on the water period!

This little sweetheart DID NOT want to tube. After Brig bribed her with ice cream, she decided that she couldn't resist. And then this happened:

Sunk! The tube submarined and they both went totally under the water! I swear those kinds of things always happen to the kids who don't want to do whatever it is that they're doing! There were almost some tears, but luckily Brig was able to turn it into a fun thing, and from then on there were only smiles :)

Lost my sunglasses when I went on a ride with this little one. Wasn't expecting it to be quite so wild, seeing as he's only 5, but I should have known better!

My taped up toe. To those who read my last post, you'll know that I broke my toe the weekend before! But I was determined to wakeboard, so I wrapped it in MEDICAL tape first (Jen ;)) and THEN duct tape to keep it waterproof of course ;) Worked like a charm!

Day.... Friday???: Family Parade!:
I'm really not sure who came up with this idea, but as skeptical of it as I was, it was actually really fun! The kids all decorated their bikes, scooters, strollers, as well as some motorcycles and a 4-wheeler, and we paraded down the neighborhood streets! I think one guy might have seen us ;)

Day after we did the parade: Pinewood Derby!

The kids LOVED the pinewood derby! Mick and Becki got a guy who owns a track to come and call the race, and he was pretty dang good! Some of the kids brought some of their cars that they had made in the past, and some of the adults made a few cars in their spare time so that all the kids could have one to race.

She was totally content with this shopping cart :) "Race? What race?"

Saying Goodbye:
We were very sad to see everyone go :( Becki was especially sad. Mostly because even though everyone else was leaving, she was still stuck with us! haha jk.

Playing a game on the last night.

MONUMENTAL photograph! Brigham DOES NOT hold babies. Shannon was smart enough to just plop her on his lap and not give him a choice in the matter, and I HAD to take a picture of it! Good thing guys change when its their own, cause heaven knows I was not born with much patience!

Treasure hunt! She is so creative!

Thanks Cranes for being such an awesome family to marry into! I serious cannot imagine a better group of people to call my other family! Love you all, can't wait for next year!

  3. Hey thanks a lot for that awesome picture of me looking totally wasted at the fireworks :)

But seriously, great pictures! I think you must have got a good one of every single person in the family. I love the one of Brig holding Sophie. That is definitely something you have to see to believe.
