Boating with Friends Take 1

So there was this one time where I KIND OF planned a boating outing without consulting Brig first. Whoops! Some girls at my work and I had all been DYING to get out and go. So the conversation amongst us went a little bit like this.... Girls, "We want to go boating (in so many words)" Me, "Ok, cool, lets go tomorrow! (in so many words)" Them, "Are you sure pig is ok with it?" Me, "OF COURSE! He'll be fine!" Yeah, could have potentially gotten me in trouble, but it was worth the risk! And good thing it ended up being a totally rockin' time!!!!! And of course, good thing I have the sweetest husband in the entire world!
The outing was a blast! We did a little bit of wakeboarding, tubing, and EVEN some two-ski skiing (more on that later)! Oh, and before I start I have to give a special shout out to Alexis, from whose (is that even a word?) facebook I took the liberty of stealing some of these pictures from ;)
Woohoo! Yeah Cort! That little tiny stick popped right out of the water like it was nothing!

Out of order... Hillary and Cortni taking a dip while the tube was being inflated.

One of TWO highlights of the day!!! Poor Adam was such a good sport! The wakeboard we have is already small, AND the boots have shrunk, because pretty much nobody can get into them easily except me. THEN, the one ski didn't work, so he was stuck trying two. But he totally rocked it! I was very impressed... Not something you see every day anymore.
Oh, and I also have to give a special shout out to Bryant for coming and hanging out! If Adam and Bryant hadn't come, I think Brig would be a widower right now by his own free will and choice. Thanks guys!

Inflating the tube with my sweet, sweet boy.

Hillary tearin it up!

Highlight #2: what started out as a nice, gentle tube ride with Hillary and Alexis quickly turned into THIS:

AHAHAHAHA! I'm not laughing. But really though, it was pretty dang funny! Alexis rolled right over the top of Hillary and off the other side of the tube. Poor girls! But it was funny. Quite a bit funny ;)

Here's Cortni and I braving the rough waters (there actually were tons of boats. Didn't make for great wakeboarding, but the tubing was good)!

This is where Cortni was saying, "MAMAMIA!" Just kidding, but that would have been funny if she had.

And then Alexis, bless her little heart, decided to get back on the horse with Cort! And they both lived!!!

Action shot!

And here is me doing nothing particularly exciting, haha. Blaming it on the bad water.

Thanks so much to my incredibly amazing husband for hosting an awesome day! Being on the boat with him is one of my very favorite things, because it reminds me of the first summer we were dating when we went all the time. It's pretty funny, because he and I really don't have very much in common (and yes, we're still happily married despite that), but this is one thing we can do together that we DEFINITELY agree is the bomb-diggity. He knows its something that I love to do, and he is so awesome to take me as much as he can, even if he doesn't do anything but drive. I sure do love him a WHOOOOLLLLLE lot!
Thanks for coming girls and husbands! You are all totally awesome. Way awesome. "That's so awesome."

  1. That was such a fun trip! Just so you know, I STILL have that bruise on my leg from when HILLARY hit into ME. (That hurt so bad!) We should go boating 'all day, every day'. (By the way, I showed the 50 Tyson video to some of my coworkers and they didn't find it as hilarious as I find it. Must be the lame BYU-ness in them.) Thanks again, Pig!!!
