Vegas... The place where I won $10!

The second weekend in July, I got to go to Las Vegas for a work training. The training went from Thursday evening until about mid-day Saturday. Overall it was a really good training, and we got to do a few fun things too. Mostly though, it was just kind of relaxing for me, which is what I needed right at that moment. I didn't love the flying, and I didn't really love Vegas, but I did enjoy some peace each night! :)

The crew, eating at Diablo's..... OVERRATED! (Don't tell Bracken I said that) But, to be fair, I did get something different than what was supposed to be the best thing on the menu, so I guess I can't actually say. Guess I'll get to try it next time!

Seeing a few sights on foot.

Stinking M&M factory. They don't even sell regular bags of M&M's!!!! Rip! We needed a whole bum-load for the presentation that our campus gave, and since it is right across the street from where we stayed, we decided that seemed logical to get them there. Did NOT know that they were going to cost $14/lb!!! Anyway, luckily there was a CVS also conveniently located by our hotel.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo. I really enjoyed that part! My room was nice and comfortable, and I got it all to myself which was great! I'm usually not so good at being by myself, but it was actually really nice, and much needed.

$100 worth of M&M's.... Yeah.

The first night of the training is a fun, get to know you night. There is always a theme, and this time it was decades. We decided to do the 50's, and my awesome boss made all of our skirts! She is so talented it amazes me. Stacy went as the bad girl, haha.

A few of us made our appliques. I decided to go with the shaggy dog. I love him :)

A weird part of some restaurant inside the new City Center.

For Candice and Nicole. Wish I could have gone!!! And no, that's not a joke!

For fun.

Of course we had to watch the water show at the Bellagio. I thought I had never seen it before, turns out I had, I just didn't remember then. So this was time 2 (sorry Alexis and Jenny, I didn't remember!)

Not something you see everyday.

Winning $10 at the roulette table. Yeah baby! Shh, don't tell!

Alexis and I, so cute. Sure miss her!

Anywho, We had a pretty good time. Like I said, the training was really good, and made me want to do really well at my job, which I suppose is the most important part. It's nice working for a company that takes care of its employees, and that tries to do fun things for us. They used to do this training twice a year, but now its looking like they'll be changing it to 3 or 4 times a year. Wow! That's a lot of Vegas. I'll let you know how it goes in November! Or more like January really, since I always seem to be about 2 months behind!

  2. Remember how you were sitting at the roulette table and I hurried and took your picture? Which was quickly followed by the guy at the table getting mad at me and saying, "Pictures aren't allowed!"...You owe me. ;) ALSO- Remember you made winning $10 never look so easy? So what did I do? I decided to play as well. What happened? I ended up leaving Vegas $13 in the hole. Thanks a lot Tara, thanks a lot...
