Well, it's over. Sad day. Brig and I just finished the last season of 24. We missed watching it on TV and had to wait until the season came out on dvd. I prefer watching a series that way anyway. I just have a few words for the "deceased" (The series, not Jack - who actually thought Jack was going to die? You fools ;) )

Well Jack, we've laughed together (or really we've just laughed AT you, but mostly at Tony), and we've cried together (this part is not a joke, I'm a baby), and all in all it's been a incredible journey. Ah, what fond memories... Like that time you killed that one guy, and the time you screamed at Chloe because you were running out of time! Oh! And remember that time you saved the United States of America, even though it meant you had to be a fugitive and fight off bad guys to uncover their secret plots and all the while you were having to very sneakily avoid being captured by your own government!?!? That was awesome.

How could you not like someone as cool as this?!

For serious though, I really will miss 24. At least until the government tries to come after Kim and there's nothing that Chloe can do to save her even though she promised Jack in their last conversation ever that she would protect her and Jack has to come out of hiding to fight the Russians who are ultimately the ones behind the plot! But until then, I suppose all good things must come to an end. I am not sure there will ever be another show on TV quite like 24. And if there are any that try, they should know ahead of time that they will fail miserably. Says me :)
Love the post:) I have never watched 24 but reading this makes me want to see what it's all about:)
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious! I miss it too!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that was pretty funny! So, so true! However, I did NOT appreciate being called a fool! =) They SHOULD have let the guy die! What's up with ending the show with him walking through an alley way! After 6 years of adrenalin it was totally anti-climatic!
