Anniversary Numero Dos!

Wowee, two years! Seems like it's been an eternity! Just kidding, I honestly can't believe how fast the time has really gone. This year we didn't do anything super extraordinary, but we had a great time nevertheless!

I wanted to post this picture because it is the first picture that Brig and I ever took together (thanks Jenn!). And also thanks to Dave and Tyler for being there for that wonderfully special and magical moment. You will forever have a place in our hearts. (Haha!)
That first summer we pretty much lived on the Lake. I loved every minute of it. And back then Brig used to actually get in the water and swim with me. Oh my, how things change in just two short years ;) But I still love him to pieces and even though he can be a party pooper, I really do love him much more today than I did yesterday (tears).

On our anniversary, I had to work from 9am-8pm. I was really bummed about it. But, Brig came and picked me up from work so that we could at least go to dinner. He gave me 3 choices of where to eat: Hamiltons, Elements, or.... drum roll.... the ever romantic and high class El Toro Viejo. And I chose....

El Toro! I know, I know, but it's just so tasty! We both love our Mexican Food. What better way to spend an anniversary than eating until we're about to explode. So romantic.

After work we went home because I had to work early the next day. Previously, Brig had led me to believe that we weren't really doing presents this year. I should have known, I fall for that every time! I walked into our house and sitting in the living room was a GIANT box! I immediately said to him, "This better not be what I think it is!!" And of course, it was.

Yay! I really wanted this chair from IKEA, but I was holding off on getting it for awhile (P.S. photo quality not good, sorry). Brig was SUCH a little sneak! I still can't even believe how good at lying he was. He had told me a week before that he was going down to Provo where his parents own a home to help his dad (who recently had back surgery) do the yard work. He said his mom called and was worried about his dad doing too much and asked if he would go help and monitor. I don't know how many of you know this, but that would totally be a legit scenario! And i fell for it! Really what he was doing was going down to IKEA, braving the unnavigable isles and hallways to get me this chair. What a sweetheart. (Background story: Brig LOATHES Ikea. I took him there once and he threw a major fit because we couldn't get out. Which led to him going on a looooong rant about how he was putting IKEA in the same class as used car salesmen). In the note that he put with the chair he said, "I love you so much that I even went to IKEA." I loved it :)
To make this story even better, I will tell you that I bought Brig a gift card to Cabelas... On our anniversary... and sent it through an EMAIL! Oh my, how lame can I possibly get?! Brig was happy though, because he said it worked out just how he'd planned it. What a sweet boy.

When the night was over I was feeling really sad that I hadn't taken the day off. So I decided to take the next day off instead! Haha. We did some yard work like an old boring married couple, but we still had a great time. I love everything and anything I get to do with this boy.

Brig you are my very favorite :) So glad that you are mine! Love you!
